Hilton Price Match Guarantee

From Hilton's Price Match Guarantee page, which says its terms apply to claims submitted on or after August 20, 2026. We read it on October 1, 2026.

• How you booked: directly with Hilton. Where the lower rate is: on another site, not on an official Hilton channel.
• When: the page's steps are to book directly with Hilton, find a lower qualifying rate on another site, and submit your claim within 24 hours. The page we read doesn't say what the 24 hours count from, so count from when you booked to be safe. A claim can't be approved once you have checked in.
• What must match: the same room type, view and location, the same amenities and booking conditions, the same cancellation terms, the same number of guests and the same dates.
• How much lower: at least 1% below Hilton's price, in the same currency the hotel uses.
• What you get: Hilton matches the lower rate and gives an additional 25% off the room rate for your stay.
• What doesn't count: special member rates such as AAA or AARP, corporate or negotiated rates, and prices you need a login, a credit card number or a code to see.
• Excluded hotels: all Hampton by Hilton hotels, hotels under the Small Luxury Hotels brand in the People's Republic of China, and some partner accommodations the page lists.

The price dropped days later: rebook a flexible rate

A drop can come days after you book, and it can be on the chain's own site. Neither guarantee above is written for that. What works is the cancellation policy of the rate you booked: if it still lets you cancel for free, book the lower rate, wait for the confirmation, then cancel the original before its deadline. The deadline and its time are on your confirmation.

Compare like with like before you switch. A lower rate can come with different cancellation terms, no breakfast, or a different room, and a prepaid rate you can't cancel ends your chance to rebook again. The step-by-step version is in how to rebook a hotel for a lower price.

Booked a Marriott, Hilton or any other hotel at a rate you can cancel for free? We can keep checking the price for you until your free cancellation ends.

• You tell us what you paid per night, with taxes and fees, and the last day you can cancel for free.
• We check the rates listed for your hotel and dates once a day.
• We email you once if a listed rate is at least 5% lower than what you paid (and at least $5 a night lower, or about that in your currency) on two daily checks in a row. The email names the site and the price.
• You check the room before you rebook. A lower rate can be for another room, bed type or meal plan. You book and cancel yourself; we never do either.
• We stop at your free-cancellation date. We need two checks in a row, so a rate that first drops on your deadline day itself comes too late for an alert.
