The study's count, before taxes and fees: in the October 3, 2026 snapshot, at 15 of the 18 Paris hotels with a price, the cheapest listing was 5% or more below the going rate. The cheapest site there: Vio.com at 4, the hotel's own site at 2, Agoda at 1, Billabook.com at 1, Bluepillow.com at 1, Booking.com at 1, br.Bluepillow.com at 1, Clicktrip.com at 1 and 3 other sites at 3 between them. These are the Paris rows of the study's per-hotel CSV (going_rate_usd and cheapest_usd, before taxes and fees).

Taxes and fees at Paris hotels
At the 15 hotels with both an all-in and a before-tax going rate, taxes and fees, as the booking sites reported them to Google Hotels, added a median of 22% ($20 a night) to the before-tax going rate: from 15% at Glint Paris to 31% at Novotel Paris Est. At 3 hotels no site reported a before-tax price, so their prices are listed prices that may leave out resort or property fees. Our data does not split the gap into taxes and fees.
