Is Super.com legit?
Short answer: yes, with 3 catches.
Yes. Super.com (formerly Snaptravel) is a real company that resells hotel rooms at wholesale rates, and the bookings go through. In our 15 price snapshots, where a site undercut the going rate by 5% or more, Super.com had the lowest price at 1,239 hotels, more than any other site, typically 19% below. The 3 catches: it named the room at none of those 1,239, Google Hotels showed a free-cancellation label on none of its listings (0 of 3,322 hotels), and if something goes wrong you deal with Super.com, not the hotel. Why is it cheaper than the hotel's own site?
This is the question that makes people suspicious — and the answer is boring, not shady. Super.com buys rooms in bulk through wholesale distribution channels, the same back-end supply that powers a lot of "member rate" and opaque-booking sites. Hotels release inventory to those channels at a discount to keep rooms full, and a reseller can pass part of that discount on to win your booking. It also spends far less on brand advertising than the household-name travel sites, and it makes money on rewards and its broader fintech products — so it doesn't need a fat margin on every room.
The savings are real. What you're trading for them is flexibility: the cheapest rates are prepaid and non-refundable, and if a booking goes sideways you're dealing with Super.com's support rather than walking up to the hotel desk. That's a fine trade when your dates are locked — and a bad one when they aren't.
Before you book a prepaid wholesale rate, check three things
- 1. The all-in total. Compare the price after taxes and resort fees, not the headline nightly rate.
- 2. The room type. Make sure it's the same room you'd book direct — not a smaller or "run of house" version.
- 3. The cancellation terms. A $30 saving isn't worth it if your plans might change and the rate is non-refundable.

How often Super.com is the cheapest, and the catch we could see
Across 15 snapshots from September 22 to October 1, 2026 we recorded 6,254 hotel prices in 348 cities on every booking site Google Hotels lists. At 4,512 of them some site undercut the going rate by 5% or more. Super.com was the cheapest site at 1,239 of those 4,512 hotels (27%), more than any other site, and typically 19% below the going rate.
The catch: at none of those 1,239 hotels did Super.com name the room its price was for. That fits the wholesale model above: a rate is published without the room attached. It does not mean the rooms are worse, only that you cannot tell from the listing. When Booking.com or Agoda were cheapest (at 127 and 264 hotels), they named the room 108 and 181 times.
Not a one-off. It was the cheapest site most often in 14 of the 15 snapshots (the exception: in one September 29 snapshot, Vio.com was cheapest at 37 hotels to its 35). In the 14 snapshots from September 25 to October 1, 2026, which recorded every seller, it was listed at 3,322 hotels, and Google Hotels showed no free-cancellation label on any Super.com listing (0 of 3,322). That does not prove a Super.com rate can never be refunded, but none of the Super.com prices we saw was labelled as cancellable, so read the cancellation terms before you pay. So a Super.com price is usually a real bargain on price and an open question on room. Open it and compare the room name, bed type and cancellation terms with the room you were about to book before you pay.
How to check the deal yourself
The honest way to know if a Super.com rate is a good deal is to compare it — the all-in total for the exact same room and dates — against the hotel's own site and one or two other booking sites, and to read the cancellation terms alongside the price. Doing that by hand across five tabs is tedious, which is exactly why most people don't bother and just trust the first number they see.

Is Super.com a scam?
No. It's a real, established company and the hotel bookings are genuine. The frustration people report is almost always about the terms — prepaid, non-refundable rates and harder cancellations — rather than the booking not existing. Read the cancellation policy before you commit and you avoid the most common complaint.
Why won't it show me the hotel name until I book?
On its deepest "member" discounts, some inventory is sold as opaque or semi-opaque — the hotel agrees to the low rate on the condition its name isn't shown publicly next to it. That's a normal wholesale practice, but it means you should be comfortable with the neighborhood, star rating, and terms before you commit, since you're trading certainty for the discount.
Can I cancel a Super.com booking?
It depends on the rate you booked. Some are refundable within a window; the cheapest are non-refundable. Cancellation and changes go through Super.com rather than the hotel, which is slower than dealing with the property directly. Always check the specific rate's terms at checkout — this is the single most important thing to verify before paying.
