Is Algotels legit?
Yes. Real rates, real tradeoffs.

Why is it so much cheaper than other sites?

The answer is boring, not shady. Hotels release inventory to wholesale distribution channels at a discount to keep rooms full, and technology resellers like Algotels pass part of that discount on to win your booking. They also spend far less on brand advertising than the household names. In our September 2026 study, a reseller of this class, Super.com, was the cheapest site most often (1,239 hotels, typically 19% below the going rate), and the prices were real listings, not bait.

Here's the honest catch from that same study: Super.com named the room at none of the 1,239 hotels where it was cheapest, and across all sites the cheapest listing named no room at 3,765 of the 4,512 hotels with a cheaper listing. That doesn't mean the deal is fake; it may be a real rate with caveats (non-refundable, or a different room class). It means the burden of verification is on you: confirm the room type, the all-in total, and the cancellation terms before paying. Does Algotels show up on Google Hotels?

Not in our data. In 14 snapshots from September 25 to October 1, 2026 we recorded every seller Google Hotels listed for 5,830 hotels in 348 cities (US market, a two-night stay 35 days out): 4,519 different sellers, from the big booking sites to hotels' own websites. Algotels was not among them at any of the 5,830 hotels.

So a Google Hotels comparison will not show you Algotels's price. To judge a deal on Algotels, take its all-in total, room and cancellation terms and compare them with the same dates on the sites Google Hotels does list, for example with our free price checker.
