Hotel Ninja alternatives
Free extensions that compare hotel prices on the page.
Free alternatives to Hotel Ninja that also compare a hotel's price across booking sites on the page you are viewing include Underbook, Directo and RatePunk. Underbook installs on Chrome, Edge and Firefox, checks every booking site Google Hotels lists for your stay (a median of 17 per hotel in our data), and says whether a lower price names the same room; Hotel Ninja's site links the Chrome Web Store only, as of October 5, 2026.
This page is by Underbook, one of the extensions compared. Facts about the others come from their own sites and store listings, read October 5, 2026; they can change, and a correction to hi@underbook.co is welcome.

Other alternatives travelers name
- Directo compares booking platforms and hotels' official websites, over 2.4 million properties, and offers its own negotiated rates, Directo Deals. Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons listings; its site also names Edge, Brave and Opera, and a Safari extension for iPhone in beta.
- RatePunk (on the Chrome Web Store as RatePunk Hotel Booking Deals) compares Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, Priceline, Agoda, Trip.com, Orbitz and Travelocity, and says it shows the same room. Its Chrome Web Store listing says it earns affiliate commissions; its Firefox Add-ons listing was last updated January 7, 2025.
- PriceMice, from NordVPN, does a different job: it checks whether the same stay is priced lower for visitors in another country, and you then book with a VPN or a changed location.
- @Hotel, from Tripscout, compares rates while you browse your booking sites and earns affiliate commissions, its Chrome Web Store listing says.
All four are on the Chrome Web Store; each fact above is from its own site or store listing, read October 5, 2026. More on the category: hotel price comparison extensions, side by side.

What to look for in any of them
Three things from our hotel price study (7,044 hotel prices in 368 cities, 17 snapshots) that decide whether a price comparison is worth trusting:
- Which sites it checks. Some site listed the stay 5% or more below the going rate at 5,114 of 7,044 hotels (73%), and the lowest of those listings was on Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Priceline or Agoda at only 641 of 5,114 (12.5%). Most lower prices sit on smaller sites, so the number of sites checked matters.
- What it says about the room. At 4,294 of 5,114 hotels (84%) with a lower listing, the lowest named no room at all. A tool can only match a room the listing names, so look for one that tells you when it cannot.
- Taxes. At 2,542 of 3,371 hotels (75%) where taxes added 10% or more (snapshots of September 25 to October 1, 2026), the listings mixed before-tax and all-in prices, and at each of those the lowest listing was a before-tax price. Compare all-in totals, or know which you are seeing.
When Hotel Ninja may be enough
If you book on the six sites its site names, use Chrome, and want its view of the same room type, it does that job, free and without a login. Underbook is the one to try if you use Edge or Firefox, want every site Google Hotels lists for your stay, small sites and the hotel's own site included, want to be told when a lower price names no room, or want a check on your phone without installing anything. Nothing stops you from trying both.
Try Underbook on your next hotel
Add it, then open a hotel on Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda or the hotel's own site with your dates. It checks the other booking sites by itself and shows their prices on the page, all-in where they report taxes and fees, with no account. On a phone, use the web price checker. You always book where you choose. One link for any browser: underbook.co/get opens the right store for Chrome, Edge or Firefox, and the web price checker on a phone.
Hotel Ninja alternatives: common questions
What is a good alternative to Hotel Ninja?
Underbook, Directo and RatePunk are free extensions that also compare a hotel's price across booking sites on the page you are viewing. Underbook installs on Chrome, Edge and Firefox, checks every booking site Google Hotels lists for your stay, all-in where the sites report taxes and fees, says whether a lower price names the same room, and has a web price checker for phones.
Does Hotel Ninja work on Firefox or Edge?
Its site links the Chrome Web Store only, and we found no Hotel Ninja listing on Firefox Add-ons on October 5, 2026. Underbook has listings on the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons and Firefox Add-ons; Directo and RatePunk have Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons listings.
Is there a Hotel Ninja app for a phone?
Its site names none. On a phone, Underbook's web price checker runs the same comparison in the browser with no install, and Directo offers a Safari extension for iPhone in beta.
Do these extensions show whether it is the same room?
Hotel Ninja and RatePunk say they show the same room type or the same room; Underbook says whether a lower price names a room that matches, and to check the room when it does not. Often no listing can be matched: in our study, at 4,294 of 5,114 hotels (84%) with a listing 5% or more below the going rate, the lowest listing named no room.
Are they free?
Yes. Hotel Ninja, Directo, RatePunk and Underbook are all free to install, by their own pages and store listings, read October 5, 2026.
