The study's count, before taxes and fees: in the September 29, 2026 snapshot, at 15 of the 18 Oslo hotels with a price, the cheapest listing was 5% or more below the going rate. The cheapest site there: Super.com at 8, Vio.com at 2, Agoda at 1, Evendo at 1, Hotels.com at 1, the hotel's own site at 1 and trivago DEALS at 1. These are the Oslo rows of the study's per-hotel CSV (going_rate_usd and cheapest_usd, before taxes and fees).

Taxes and fees at Oslo hotels
At the 16 hotels with both an all-in and a before-tax going rate, taxes and fees, as the booking sites reported them to Google Hotels, added a median of 12% ($21 a night) to the before-tax going rate: from 11% at KAMPEN HOTEL to 13% at Scandic Holmenkollen Park Hotel. At 1 hotel no site reported a before-tax price, so its price is a listed price that may leave out resort or property fees. Our data does not split the gap into taxes and fees.
