Honest review

Is Traveluro legit?
Real site, cheap prices, weak track record.

Traveluro is a real booking site: its rates show up on Google Hotels next to Booking.com and Expedia, and it was the cheapest site for 360 hotel prices in our own data. But its prices never named the room, and its complaint record is one of the worst of any booking site. Here is what we measured, what reviewers report, and how to check a Traveluro price before you pay.

We have no affiliate relationship with Traveluro. Underbook (built by us) leads with the lowest price it finds, whoever lists it, and says whether it names your room.

The verdict, in plain terms

Not a fake site. A risky one. Treat the low price as a lead to check, not a deal to trust.

What is true in its favor

  • A real site whose rates Google Hotels lists
  • Often the cheapest listing: 313 hotels 5%+ below the going rate in our data
  • Typical gap of 18% below the going rate when it was cheapest

Why you should be careful

  • Its cheapest listings named the room 0 times out of 360
  • BBB rating F, not accredited, 371 complaints closed in 3 years
  • Trustpilot 1.5 out of 5 from 1,089 reviews
  • Problems go through Traveluro, not the hotel front desk

BBB and Trustpilot figures read from their public Traveluro pages on September 29, 2026 (the Trustpilot profile is listed as splittytravel for traveluro.com). They change over time.

Measured, September 2026

How often Traveluro is the cheapest, and what its price leaves out

Across 15 snapshots taken between September 22 and October 1, 2026, we recorded every booking site's price that Google Hotels showed for the same two-night stay, 6,254 hotel prices in 348 cities. At 4,512 of them some site was 5% or more below the rate most sites agreed on. Traveluro was the cheapest site at 313 of those 4,512, third behind Super.com (1,239) and Vio.com (465), and typically 18% below the going rate.

The catch: across all 360 times Traveluro had the lowest price (including near-ties), its listing named the room 0 times. When Agoda was cheapest it named the room at 264 of 380 hotels; Booking.com at 320 of 396. A price with no room attached may be for the smallest or a non-refundable room, and you cannot tell from the listing. Most of Traveluro's cheapest prices were at chain hotels (269 of 360) in US cities (266 of 360).

These are before-tax prices from one moment in each snapshot, not completed bookings. Method and the CSVs are on our hotel price study.

Before you book a Traveluro price, check four things

  • 1. The room. Open the listing and compare the room name and bed type with the room you would book on the hotel's site.
  • 2. The all-in total. Compare the price after taxes and fees, in your own currency, not the headline nightly rate.
  • 3. The cancellation terms. An 18% saving on a non-refundable room is a bad trade if your plans might change. See whether free cancellation is worth it.
  • 4. The hotel. After booking, call the hotel with your confirmation number and check it can see the reservation, well before you travel.

Underbook (built by us) is a free browser extension that does the first two for you while you shop. On a hotel page it shows other booking sites' prices for the same hotel and dates side by side, and says whether a cheaper listing names the same room or needs a check before you book. We earn nothing from Traveluro.

Traveluro: common questions

Is Traveluro legit?

Traveluro is a real online booking site, not a fake storefront: its rates appear on Google Hotels next to Booking.com and Expedia, and bookings are made. But its track record is poor. As of September 29, 2026 the Better Business Bureau rates it F (not accredited, 371 complaints closed in three years) and Trustpilot shows 1.5 out of 5 from 1,089 reviews. Book it only if you have confirmed the room and the cancellation terms and can afford the risk of a problem booking.

Why is Traveluro so cheap?

In our price snapshots from September 22 to October 1, 2026 Traveluro was the cheapest site at 313 hotels where some site was 5% or more below the going rate, typically 18% below. At none of those 313 did its listing name the room. A price with no room attached is typical of wholesale resellers, and it means you cannot tell from the listing whether it is the same room other sites are pricing.

What do people complain about with Traveluro?

The common complaints on BBB and Trustpilot are bookings the hotel said it did not have, refunds that were slow or missing, currency and card charges that did not match the quoted price, and support that was hard to reach. Those are reports from reviewers, not something we measured.

How do I check a Traveluro price before I book?

Compare the all-in total for the same room and dates on the hotel's own site and one or two big booking sites, read the cancellation terms, and consider calling the hotel to ask if it can see bookings from Traveluro. Underbook is a free browser extension that shows every site's price for your hotel side by side and says whether the cheaper listing names your room.

Other sites whose listings never named the room

Traveluro is not the only one. Long Stay Discounts' listings never named a room or showed a free-cancellation label at any of the 850 hotels where Google Hotels listed it in our snapshots, the study never recorded it as the lowest price, and its website refused our requests, so we could not confirm who runs it (Is Long Stay Discounts legit?). Hotel Booking Zone's listings never named a room or showed free cancellation either, at any of its 1,760 US hotels; its terms name Hotel Booking Zone LLC of Albuquerque (Is Hotel Booking Zone legit?). Tripening's never named a room at its 1,158 hotels, and its price was more than 2% above the going rate at 900 of 1,030 (Is Tripening legit?).
