Is Qantas Hotels legit?
Yes. Often a hair under Expedia.

Yes. Its booking terms say Qantas Hotels is Qantas Group Accommodation Pty Ltd (ABN 32 152 774 457), a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas Airways Limited, at 10 Bourke Road, Mascot, New South Wales. It is not the hotel: it books as an agent for the hotel or other provider, your agreement is with that provider, and in some cases it books through a third party such as Expedia, whose name may then appear on your booking.

Often, but by little, on the listed price in our data. In the snapshots that record every site's price, Qantas Hotels and Expedia.com both listed the same hotel and dates 1,672 times: Qantas Hotels was lower 1,012 times, but usually only by about 1%; it was the same 308 times and higher 352 times, typically by 6%. Against Booking.com it was lower 1,330 of 2,175 times. These are before-tax prices as Google Hotels showed them, and some other site was often lower still.

Not often. In our price snapshots from September 22 to October 1, 2026 it was the cheapest site for 58 hotel prices, and at 13 hotels where some site was 5% or more below the going rate, typically 13% below. Across 6,254 hotel prices in 348 cities that is a small share. At none of the 58 times it had the lowest price did its listing name the room.

It depends on the booking. Its terms say you must contact the Qantas Hotels team to cancel or change, that some bookings cannot be cancelled or changed and some providers charge for it, and that the conditions are shown on the hotel page and during booking. Refunds go back to your original payment, cash or Qantas Points, within 30 days, less any applicable fees. A no-show can be charged up to the full amount.

Local taxes can. Its terms say city or tourist taxes can be charged by Qantas Hotels or the hotel, can change between booking and check-in, and that you may have to pay the higher rate. They also let Qantas cancel and refund a booking made at a price that was obviously wrong.

Underbook is a free Chrome extension that shows every site's price for your hotel and dates side by side and says whether the cheaper listing names your room. You can also check a hotel on underbook.co without installing anything.
