Is TravelUp legit for booking hotels?
A real UK agent. Read the fees.

Yes, it is a real, registered company: its booking terms name Travel Up Limited, head office 1 Zodiac House, Calleva Park, Aldermaston, West Berkshire, UK, and give ATOL number 7227 for its flight-inclusive packages. For a hotel-only booking it acts as an agent: it books the hotel on your behalf, your contract is with the supplier, and the hotel's terms prevail where they differ from TravelUp's. Its terms also add fees that matter on a hotel: up to 15 US dollars per person to cancel even a free-cancellation room, 10 US dollars per person to amend, and a booking fee kept on every cancellation.

Travel Up Limited, a UK company whose terms put its head office in Aldermaston, West Berkshire. Its About us page says it was founded by Ali Shah and has offices in the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, India, Spain, Pakistan and the United States. It started as a flight specialist and now sells hotels, cars and packages too.

Sometimes. In our price snapshots from September 22 to October 1, 2026 TravelUp was the cheapest site at 20 hotels where some site was 5% or more below the going rate, typically 23% below, most often in Latin America and Asia. Across 6,254 hotel prices in 348 cities that is a small share: most of the time another site was lower. At none of the 23 times it had the lowest price did its listing name the room.

Not always. Its terms say rooms where the hotel offers free cancellation may still carry an administration fee of up to 15 US dollars per person if you cancel, that the booking fee included in the price is kept on every cancellation, and that deposits used to reserve rooms are non-refundable. No-shows and early check-outs are not refunded.

Not a hotel on its own. Its terms say the Price Match Guarantee applies to identical holidays only and does not apply to Flight Only or Hotel Only bookings.

Underbook is a free Chrome extension that shows every site's price for your hotel and dates side by side and says whether the cheaper listing names your room. You can also check a hotel on underbook.co without installing anything.
